Getting started

Merchant quickstart

Create a store, publish a product, and take your first order.

This tutorial takes you from a new account to a storefront that can accept an order. It is written for store owners and operators; no code required.

Before you start

  • An admin account for your store.
  • A store name, URL slug, and currency.
  • At least one product, including a price and stock quantity.
  • Delivery prices for the wilayas you serve.

If you are still setting up the project locally, start with the developer quickstart first.

1. Create your store

  1. Sign in to the admin dashboard.
  2. Create a store and choose a template if you want starter categories and products.
  3. Enter the store name, URL slug, and currency.

The slug becomes part of the default storefront address, and you can change it later in Settings → Store.

2. Work through the launch plan

Open Setup for your store. The launch plan tracks six steps:

  1. Phone verification — submit the store's mobile number. A platform administrator reviews it before it is marked as verified.
  2. Store profile — upload a logo.
  3. Products — add at least one product.
  4. Shipping — add at least one delivery rate.
  5. Storefront — publish a product or connect a custom domain.
  6. First order — receive your first order.

The progress ring reflects completed steps, and the "Up next" card points to the next action.

Phone verification is reviewed manually while SMS verification is being rolled out. You can keep working on the other steps while it is pending.

3. Add your first product

  1. Go to Products → New Product.
  2. Enter a name, description, and brand.
  3. Add at least one variant with a price and stock quantity. A product needs a variant before it can be sold.
  4. Upload product media and set alt text.
  5. Set the product to Active and Public.

The product is now visible on the storefront if the storefront is connected to this store. See Products for variants, options, media, CSV imports, and SEO fields.

4. Set delivery rates

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping.
  2. Set a home-delivery and stopdesk price for each wilaya you serve.
  3. Optionally set a free-shipping threshold.

Orders for a wilaya without an active rate cannot use that delivery method. See Shipping and delivery.

5. Connect the storefront

The storefront needs an API key for this store:

  1. Go to Settings → API.
  2. Create an API key and copy it immediately. The full key is shown only once.
  3. Give the key and the store slug to whoever operates the storefront, or set ORGANIZATION_SLUG and API_KEY in the storefront environment.

You can also connect a custom domain under Settings → Domains. Point the domain's DNS at the storefront, add the TXT verification record, and verify it.

6. Take your first order

When a customer checks out:

  • The order appears under Orders with the source Storefront.
  • Cash-on-delivery orders start as Pending and are usually confirmed by phone.
  • You can record a COD payment, advance the status, add tracking, and issue invoices and receipts from the order page.

See Orders for the full lifecycle.
