Inventory
Track stock, adjust quantities, and catch low-stock variants.
Inventory lives under Catalog → Inventory. The list is variant-based: each row represents a sellable variant, not a product.
What the inventory list shows
- Product and variant names.
- Price and stock.
- SKU and barcode.
- Product visibility (public or private).
- Whether inventory tracking is enabled.
Filter by stock state (In stock, Low stock, Out of stock), product status, visibility, category, price, stock range, and date added. You can also export the current view as CSV.
Track inventory
Inventory tracking is controlled per product. When tracking is enabled, stock is decremented as orders are placed and restored when an order is canceled or returned. When tracking is disabled, the product is treated as always available and does not appear in low-stock counts.
To change tracking, open the product and toggle Track Inventory in the variants section.
Update stock
Single variant
Open the variant from the product page or the inventory list and edit its stock level. The admin records an inventory movement with the previous stock, new stock, quantity, reason, and user.
Bulk update
- Select the variants in the inventory table.
- Choose Update stock.
- Enter the new stock level.
- Confirm.
Bulk update sets the selected variants to the same stock level. It does not add or subtract a quantity.
Adjustments
The API also supports inventory adjustments with a type of Adjustment, Purchase, Return, or Damage. Adjustments are additive and cannot make stock negative. They are recorded in the inventory movements table, which preserves the audit trail.
Low stock
Each product has a low-stock threshold. The default is 10. A variant is considered low stock when its stock is less than or equal to the threshold, and out of stock when it reaches zero.
Low-stock and out-of-stock events create admin notifications. If push notifications are configured, they can also reach your device.
Low-stock values are based on tracked variants only. Products with tracking disabled are excluded.
Stock and orders
- Placing an order decrements stock for tracked variants.
- Canceling an order restores stock if it has not already been restored.
- Returning an order restores stock when Restock items is enabled.
- The COD reconciliation page flags canceled or returned orders whose stock has not been restored.
Archived inventory
Archiving a product moves its variants to the archived inventory view. Restore the product to bring it back. Permanent deletion is available only after archiving.
